The Ryde-Rogers Heritage

The Ryde-Rogers family have been producing champions for almost five decades now. With a reputation that still resonates within the showing community David, Vi and their daughter Julia have an enviable track record of consistently producing winners.

In 1993 David and Vi moved on to a well earned retirement leaving Julia at the reins to maintain the Ryde-Rogers high standards.

Julia Ryde-Rogers

Julia can honestly claim to have been part of the equine industry all her life, attending her first show while her mother was still pregnant with her! From taking her first faltering steps it was but a short time before she was an accomplished rider. She quickly became an essential part of team Ryde-Rogers eventually graduating to managing her father's yard. As well as a demanding showing committment she also dealt with the trials of two senior, three junior stallions and 40-50 visiting mares each season.

After a spell in the USA working for Michelle and Tim Grubb (twice world champion show jumper and member of usa olympic/world teams) she returned to the UK and has now has now been producing horses and ponies in her own right for over 15 years.

Julia produces both in hand and ridden and continues to have many successes with riding ponies, hacks, hunters, mountain & moorlands and coloureds. She has a particular interest in young stock and a talent for picking future winners setting them on the correct path during the important early years.

Julia is a well respected member of the judging community and judged the Show Ponies at HOYS 2008. She is on several judging panels including:
  • The British Show Pony Society (BSPS) - Show pony/intermediate show riding type, HOYS & R.I. qualifiers, show hunter pony/intermediate show hunter type, heritage (mountain&moorland), dressage
